The Digilog Project is about art and music. It includes an edition of 12 photographs and an electronic music album with 12 corresponding tracks. "The idea of The Digilog Project is to combine the organic beauty of the analogue with the perfection of the digital. I find this fascinating in design, as well as in music." David sees his music as a soundtrack for everyday life. It should make simple moments special and give something to the listener, but not impose. He uses the same principle of restraint for the visual and artistic part of The Digilog Project. Each track has its own cover art. The photographs show different themes from the designer’s life, which inspired him aesthetically. To give these moments a visual context, he photographed each picture a second time from his computer screen. Due to the extreme close-ups, each bright pixel of the LED display is visible; it creates an impressive grid of red, green and blue (RGB) light dots. "The exciting effect of the RGB grid are the two levels of viewing the art works. The further away you get from the picture, the more RGB points merge into a new and homogeneous colour. This is why the images somehow never get boring." Download the free high-resolution artwork to best experience the RGB effect.
